July 2010 Activities Volunteer – Coordinator, Mr. Pacifique Gashirabake, with our 2010 intern Jennifer distributing sneakers to Rwandan orphans at Gisimba orphanage in Kigali July 2010.These shoes were donated by Christian Family at St. Vincent Martyr Roman Catholic, Marie Claudine Mukamabano’s Church in New Jersey after hearing her inspiration speech of surviving the horrible genocide situation in Rwanda, and getting the courage to establish her organization KUKI NDIHO RWANDA ORPHANS SUPPORT PROJECT dedicated to the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual healing of the lives of the thousands of orphans living in Rwanda today. Rwandan origin now living in Durban, South Africa. He is a graduate of the Kigali Institute of Education, where he read Sciences with Education.
In 2008, he matriculated at the University of KwaZulu Natal and secured a Masters Degree in Gender and Development the following year. He has remained at the University, and this year commenced doctoral studies in Community Devellopment Fred has undertaken research into the role of women entrepreneurship and poverty reduction in post-genocide Rwanda.
Fred speaks English, French and Kinyarwanda. He enjoys reading, music, movies and sport.
