Rwandan orphans visit by Matthieux from UK & Jean Paul from Rwanda

During May with the support of Coventry University I traveled to Kigali to research the recent developments in Rwandan civil society.

During my stay I was able to monitor many projects, with many different organisations however, it was my final day in Kigali that has left the most lasting impression on me.

Matthieux & Jean Paul visit our Students at Muhima primary school in Kigali

Although my visit was mainly looking into civil society projects

I made it a priority to understand as much about the culture and identity of Rwanda as possible and therefore contacted several organisations before departing to see whether I could come and observe their work.  One of these organisations was the Kuki Ndiho Foundation.

After contacting Marie Claudine MUKAMABANO  and

expressing my desire to come and observe the work they are doing,

Marie Claudine put me in touch with Jean Paul Ibambe.

On my final day in Kigali I accompanied Jean Paul to Kimisagara Orphanage,

Gisimba Memorial Centre and

Muhima primary school.

Matthieux visited Rwandan orphans at Kimisagara orphanage in Kigali

Kimisagara Orphanage opened my eyes to a side of Kigali that largely was unseen during my visit. . . . → Read More: Rwandan orphans visit by Matthieux from UK & Jean Paul from Rwanda
