Claudine's New Book

She said, “I was a Rwandan Orphan & Genocide Survivor since I was a teenager. I had started my second year of high school in Kigali, Rwanda, Africa. I was very hopeless and I didn’t have any hope for the future.”

She continued, “After losing my friends, classmates, and fellow countrymen during the Rwandan Genocide, my Catholic faith inspired me to seek the answer to the question of KUKI NDIHO — Why Do I Exist, in my mother’s native tongue. ”

This question now serves as the name of her organization, Why Do I Exist/ Kuki Ndiho Rwanda Orphans Support Project, which she established in 2005 as the Executive Director to raise awareness on the genocide in Rwanda, help survivors, and aid orphans of HIV.

In her new book, Claudine discusses the POWER OF FAITH, VISION, GOAL  SETTING LEADERSHIP , ,PRODUCTIVITY .

She said, “I wrote this book based on my 10 years experience in working with different type of people from around the world. I share what I learned in this lifetime journey to become a Powerful Leader  despite any circumstance of life challenges.”

She also shares what it takes to become a Proactive and Productive Leader equipped with Leadership Skills as well as Goal-setting strategies. She also talks about the importance of forgiveness, especially the importance of forgiving all of the time, and how and why she forgave the people who killed her parents, grandparents, cousins, uncles, and aunts.

This week, she will discuss her new book on her radio show called “Claudine on Fire.” (For more information or to provide any donation to support this humanitarian effort, please visit  whydoiexist.org.)

When she was only 5 years old, Claudine’s wonderful Mother introduced her to the Youth Catholic Movement where she used to visit and help poor people as well as orphans in Rwandan orphanages.

Because she was exposed to world of God at an early age, Claudine created the joyful and happiness LIFE within. During her childhood, Claudine managed to create or Build a VERY JOYFUL SOUL. She grew up as the most joyful child in her village and in her school, everybody noticed that joy. Even now, you can still feel and sense the JOYFUL HUMAN BEING.

However, Claudine’s joyful life was interrupted by the genocide in Rwanda which claimed over Million of Innocent TUTSI PEOPLE and Moderate Hutu in just 100 days.

That means that over 10,000 people where being killed each day in her country. During that time, Claudine was only around 14 years old, perhaps 15 years old, and she was studying in the 2nd year at High School of Math, one of the best Catholic schools in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. To have Claudine here with us today is a miracle!

After losing her parents, sister, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, loved ones, friends, classmates, and fellow countrymen during the Rwandan Genocide, her Catholic faith inspired her to seek the answer to the question of KUKI NDIHO? (Why do I exist?-Pourquoi J’existe?). This question now serves as the name of her organization, which has an extensive fundraising program in New York, as well as a presence in Belgium and South Africa. The thousands of dollars raised thus far continue to support hundreds of orphans in Rwanda.
